A Glimpse of Our Holiday

Hello my friends. It’s been three weeks since my last post. Been busy at work, but we never fail to get busy in the kitchen especially last Christmas and New Year celebrations.

A typical Filipino household is always busy during the holidays because we cook food not just for us, but for the entire clan. Since my mom is the “top chef” of the family, she’s always booked with orders. We don’t do catering, just small-time made-to-order food like our achara and tinapa, and other local specialties that some of our relatives and my mom’s friends enjoy.

These are just some of the dishes we prepared and ate during the holidays and after [recipes to follow soon]:

We also cooked Bon Chon style chicken on New Year’s eve. You can find the recipe here.

And of course, we always have an assortment of fruits.

I will do my best to post the recipes of each dish soon. In the meantime, bon appetit!
