How To Organise Your Fridge

Organising the contents of your fridge probably sounds like the most boring thing in the world, can’t say we disagree! However, there are health benefits to it! Also worth pointing out that by organising we don’t mean putting everything in a straight line on your fridge shelves.

The number of people who get food poisoning every year are as high as 1 in 10. This worrying number inspired us to put together an infographic to guide people on how they could store food so it doesn’t ruin.

Although there is only one temperature setting for most fridges, the different compartments do vary in how cold they are. For example, the coldest part of a fridge is the bottom shelf and the warmest part is the top shelf.

You should avoid putting raw meat, fish, and poultry on the top shelf. Not just because the juices could run down and spoil everything else, but it’d be too warm for them. Keeping them on the bottom shelf will ensure they’re at the right temperature. The middle shelves of a fridge are neither too hot nor cold so they’re perfect for storing cooked foods.

We have a whole list of how you can organise your fridge in the best way so check out the full infographic!
